It is always changing- always evolving- and like many others, I got the front row seats watching the whole process of a mere structure turning into a beautiful and spectacular marvel of technology and growth i.e. Lalitpur Power Generation Company Limited. Getting a job right after graduation and being part of such a huge project in the core sector was almost like a dream come true experience for many of us. I joined as a Graduate Executive Trainee with Twenty six others in the year 2014. It is always tough starting afresh at a whole new place away from your family with a whole lot of new people around you but it almost took no time forming new bonds of caring, respect, friendship not just among the fresher’s that had joined with me but with almost everyone in the organization that I came in contact with. When you are new to a job but have lots of caring & helpful people around you every challenge feels like a breeze. The Project phase was a tough, challenging & demanding period but we got through all of the obstacles together as a team and achieved various milestones in the journey that ensued. The excitement & sense of achievement that came with every task completed on time & with perfection melted away the tiredness & fatigue on the job. P.S. No doubt the parties that followed after achieving each milestone had a part to play too. From the time of it being a challenge to walk on the roads during rainy seasons to taking a stroll in rain in the plant, nowadays many things have changed. This place has taught me many things through the years to name a few teamwork, problem-solving, planning, organizing, innovation etc. I love how my boss and colleagues constantly believe in me and push me to endeavour on new ideas, innovations for optimizing the system & processes and support in achieving them. There is a genuine spirit of cooperation and shared goals all revolving around accomplishing zero failures. As they say, all work & no play makes Jack a dull boy, there is nothing better to beat the stress and keep yourself in perfect health and shape through sports activities. The various events and activities like Cricket, football, volleyball, badminton and other tournaments organized around the year by HR Department ensure the same. Each festival is celebrated with such great zeal & enthusiasm that the sad feeling of being away from your family on holidays rarely arises. At the same time keeping all of us updated with the latest technologies, rules, regulations & new developments in the power sector is well taken care of by the L&D Department. None of this would have been possible without the able leadership of our Honourable Chairman who has been the driving force behind motivation & high morale of employees. Being able to project his vision to every employee through the grass-root level interaction and praising the employees for their achievements personally during his visit last year is what distinguishes him as a prudent leader.

I am a graduate (B.E.) from M.S.University of Baroda in Electrical Engineering. I joined Lalitpur Power Generation Co. Ltd. (LPGCL), Bajaj group on 10th Aug 2013 as Dy. Manager- Electrical. Professionally I have been offered with a plethora of opportunities in the Bajaj group. Opportunities & responsibilities offered to me was tremendous and have pushed me to my limits with resources and support extended by management. I have been involved in LPGCL from operating & maintaining of construction power to leading a team for erection & commissioning of Electrical equipment in Unit#1,2,3 of BTG area to a team member in electrical maintenance dept of 3X660MW Power plant. Many problems & challenges were faced in the execution of the project such as BTG E&I contractor leaving the site in between, dealing with multiple agencies, commissioning of Raw water intake system only to name a few. As I look back a lot of sweet memories emerge out from days we were struggling with issues and overcoming them as an individual & team. An employee’s co-operative society i.e LPGCL Sulab Bazar Samiti was started in the LPGCL Township and I was fortunate enough to be provided with the opportunities to play a crucial & lead role in the establishment of the co-operative society along with the executive body. The moral & financial support provided by management for the establishment of society was overwhelming. The co-operative society which was started its operations on 2nd March 2020 just before the lockdown has managed & served the entire township in the crucial time of lockdown due to coronavirus. As an employee and individual, I continue to strive for more skills and knowledge and Bajaj group has been providing the same via actively supporting the further training of its employees with courses, additional qualifications, and opportunities for continuous improvement. We were offered various in house and external training which have enriched my knowledge and skills. I have cleared IPMA Level “C” & “D” certificate course arranged by LPGCL. In 2017 I had taken up the Energy manager cum auditor examination conducted by NPC and successfully cleared the energy manager & auditor exam in the first attempt.

It was a pleasure to live in a township with green cover all around. Many families including mine take a morning walk in jogger’s park area lined up with beautiful flowers and trees, an exercise in the open gym and attend yoga classes conducted in the township. In LPGCL, recreational activities like sports and family functions are organised from time to time via Officers club & Ladies club for employee & family engagement.

LPGCL/ Bajaj Group offers work-life integration with a combination of one’s personal and professional life with professional growth and personal well-being. I feel proud and fortunate to be a part of this great organisation.

Now, when the world is suffering from COVID 19 Pandemic, and most of the companies are downsizing the headcounts, salary, infrastructure etc. We are feeling glad that we got an opportunity to work/serve our great Company bajaj energy limited BEL. Our Seniors message “now it’s time to come together” has motivated us to dedicate and put our full potentials towards the progression of the BEL. Our Chairman Sir, MD Sir and CEO sir has always committed to bringing smiles on employees faces which cannot be easily seen in other Company. Our BEL Management has always organized and charted out several programs like Employee of the Month awards, Monthly Employee Engagement program, Health & wellness program, training for self-developments etc. The work-life balance in Bajaj Energy is marvelous. The rewards, recognition, learning opportunities are imbibed in our Company Culture and even in daily behaviour. I always say to our friends that I won’t leave this company since its having a good culture and environment of pleasant people with a good learning curve. Being an employee of Bajaj Energy Limited, I also want to tell that every one of BEL team is more supporting, guide ding mode and encouraging by heart particularly the senior officials in my BEL professional journey. I feel privileged to be associated with the Bajaj Energy Limited since 20 Oct 2010. The company has always encouraged in shaping all kinds of skills required in my profession. i.e. Technical skills, Management skills and behavioural skills by providing us numerous learning and development (L&D) program. There is a cordial relationship between juniors and seniors. Management is always keen to provide all possible facilities to their employee and teammates. BEL Compensation & benefits, rewards and recognition program are well designed to make the employees more satisfied and more engaged I feel it as good work-life balance. In consideration of trust that we will keep working well together with more dedication and sincerity in future to bring our organization on global standards. I have worked many of companies before, but I have stayed in bajaj energy with indeed for genuine reasons. In the bajaj energy, Management has shown an investment in its team members. The environment is not only supportive but fosters and cultivates growth. This has been the only company I have worked for, where I can confidently bring up ideas, questions, and concerns with not just my immediate manager, but up the senior leadership chain. I very much appreciate and enjoy our work over here, flexibility and transparency in work culture. Compensation benefits & succession of an individual are decent. I still remember the day when I got an opportunity to Join LPGCL Lalitpur. I was very much excited as I was going to be a part of one of the oldest and renowned organization of our country and also there was a technological enhancement for me as I was going to join a Super Critical Plant. The feeling is still same today and I am getting goose bumps while writing my journey. As far as my journey is concerned, working here is a golden opportunity for every one as here everything is easily accessible, like we can easily approach our senior leadership, lots of training & development activities throughout the year, easily accessible Library, an ever sporty environment, lots of employee engagement programs, cultural programs for family and kids, a regular town-hall meet chaired by our Respected Unit Head for addressing our issues and suggestions. Our Honourable Chairman Sir has been a source of constant motivation through his regular interaction via letters, emails and through town halls during his visits which really keeps me connected to our organization.
I believe when everyone is connected and works for a common goal, every task becomes achievable and organization reached greater heights with a combined approach.
This organization has given me a lot of opportunities to grow. I have always found a hand holding support from my superiors on each and every task I got and tried my best to successfully deliver it. As I am in operation department where every task is a team task, I feel grateful to my respected seniors, my subordinates and lovable juniors, without which no task can be accomplished. My family members always enjoy cultural activities and programs organized at LPGCL wherein all families participate and celebrate all the festivals and programs together. It is really a very heartening and cherishing environment which my family gets here and that drives me to contribute with full dedication and devotion towards achievement of our organizational goals without being worried for day to day issues.

I, Sam Sujeet a proud employee of Bajaj Family, started my career with Bajaj Group as an Intern in 2010 and was fortunate to get a PPO (Pre-placement offer) from this esteemed group in the year 2011. 01st March 2011 is “THE” day I started my career & a journey to become the part of this family. I still remember the words of my Group President – HR during induction, “the college days are over boys, now it’s time to become a Man because this journey will have many faces of Joy & Pain but we will always work with a smile on our face”.
